<strong>Abstract</strong><br>
Abstract – 

Human cannot live without consuming energy, it is the engine of life, but its excessive consumption especially in our homes makes it a serious problem that we face and that we must try to find solutions to it like sustainable housing as an essential step.
In this research, we assumed that sustainable housing is not feasible in Algeria.
In order to confirm or invalidate our hypothesis, we adopted the "GréngHausummer" project with its checklist as a tool for verifying sustainability.
The application was made on two samples in the town of Tébessa (Algeria), the result obtained has invalidate our hypothesis.
Finally, we proposed to add two techniques (criteria) from the checklist to further improve the sustainability score.
