Paper Title
Family of Higher Order Stiffened Shell Elements for Static Analysis of Composite Stiffened Shells

Abstract
Using a higher order deformation theory, a family of lagrangian type of elements having 9 and 11 degrees of freedom per node are developed. Both the elements are attached by a 3 noded beam type stiffener element. The resulting element is such that the stiffener can be placed anywhere in the shell element. Various laminated stiffened plates and shells are analysed for static loads using the newly developed element. It is seen that due to the higher order theory, HOST11 behaves as expected and better as compared to the elements available in literature.
