Paper Title
Experimental Analysis on High Strength Pervious Concrete

Abstract
Pervious Concrete as a paving material has seen renewed interest due to its ability to allow water to flow through itself to recharge groundwater and minimize storm water runoff. The use of pervious concrete has increased significantly in the last several years, perhaps largely because it is considered an environmentally friendly, sustainable product. This material dramatically reduces environmental degradation and the negative effects associated with urban sprawl. No-fines concrete has been used as an effective method for treating and reducing negative environmental impacts. Compared to conventional concrete, pervious concrete has a lower compressive strength, higher permeability, and a lower unit weight, approximately 70% of conventional concrete. In order to improve the strength we should adopt suitable mix design. The main aim of the project is to improve the strength characteristics of pervious concrete by using special liquid type of water reducing admixture in combination with accelerator in pervious concrete mix.The analysis was undertaken by conducting a number of standard concrete tests and comparing the characteristics of the high strength pervious concrete and conventional concrete samples. The tests include compressive strength test, split tensile strength test to determine its properties .Cubes and cylinders are the specimens used for the tests and they are prepared using appropriate mix proportions. The choice of selecting suitable mix proportions of pervious concrete lead to favorable results. This paper also evaluates the suitability of pervious concrete for other applications such as buildings, bridges etc. Key words- pervious concrete, conventional concrete
