Abstract : This study examines the impact of multiple earthquakes on circular reinforced concrete tanks (CRCTs). The
research considers flexible elastic supports to account for soil-structure interaction. A comparison is made between the effects
of single and multiple seismic events on the behavior and capacity of CRCTs. The study employs finite element analysis using
a custom-developed program to investigate the inelastic response of rectangular tanks under seismic time-history analysis.
Multiple seismic sequences are analyzed to ensure reliable and valid results. The findings indicate that exposure to multiple
earthquakes results in more critical structural responses compared to single earthquake events.
