Abstract : Permeable pavements, while beneficial for drainage, face challenges such as low strength and clogging. To assess their long-term performance, this study uses a 3D finite element model (FEM) to analyze stress responses under various wheel loads (3500 kg, 3000 kg, 2000 kg, 1500 kg, and 1000 kg) and speeds (11 m/s, 15 m/s, and 22 m/s). The results indicate that stress at a depth of 3 cm is more affected by these variables than at other depths. Reducing wheel weight from 3500 kg to 3000 kg nearly halves the maximum stress at 3 cm, with further reductions approaching zero stress. Peak stress at 3 cm is the highest at 15 m/s for a 3500 kg load, while for a 1000 kg load, peak stress is higher at 22 m/s. Lower speeds have less impact on peak stress with decreasing wheel load, and the differences in peak stress due to speed variations also diminish. Finally, we could find that the more loading has higher impact on stress responses under the condition of the lower speeds. Keywords - permeable road pavement, 3D finite element model, stress responses, heavy loads.
