Abstract : This paper suggested how to make the best use of observed sensor data from individual vehicles for improving road traffic safety. First, we explained the basic collection and storage system for generating the vehicle sensor data, such as development of vehicle sensors, types of vehicle sensor data and data collection format, system structure.Second, current in order to generate the diving environment information, such as road surface temperature, precipitation, traffic volume etc., are developing sensor devices of the individual vehicle. We carried out analysis with the field data collectionusing a vehicle sensor can be measured road surface temperature, air temperature, humidity of these. As a result, the road surface temperature and air temperature collected in the field were analyzed statistically there is a difference from each other. Lastly, utilizations of vehicle sensor datafor the prevention of traffic accidents were presented respectively for users and managers. Index terms- Vehicle Sensor Data, Road Driving Environment, Road Traffic Safety, Big Data
