Abstract : To measure kinetic friction coefficients of material, a smart measuring device is proposed in this study. Arduino techniques are applied to combine this proposed device. Three Aluminum extrusions constructs as a horizontal platform to carry Arduino Nano, Arduino MPU 9250 and Arduino SD module as this proposed smart device. Beveled steel gaskets are applied to titling mass block to form various slope. Title method is used to measure the kinetic friction coefficients based on the time history of acceleration and displacement responses of test object movement, recorded by this proposed device. Test and analysis results show that kinetic friction coefficients from the minimum and maximum average acceleration of various slope angle are between 0.060 and 0.065, are almost the same. Keywords- smart measuring device, kinetic friction coefficients, Arduino techniques, title method.
