Vulnerability of Retrofitting Technique for an Irregular Structure

Abstract
An existing 3-storey, 2- Bay reinforced concrete structure with plan irregularity, both in as-built before and as retrofitted is subjected only to gravity load in the framework of performance of existing structure and its rehabilitation research project. The structure is analyzed by a linear-dynamic statistical method to get the response of structure for computing time period, storey shear and maximum storey displacement in each mode of vibration. In this episode the structure retrofitted by column- jacketing, a strengthening technique to increase the system capacity and ductility. The design of retrofitting technique is incorporated by using extended three dimensional analysis of building system (ETABS 2015).
