Abstract : Ferrocement or Ferro-concrete is a system of reinforced mortar or plaster applied over layers of metal. It had been concluded from this study how ferrocement is better than conventional types RCC, PCC etc and how it perform good against lateral displacement, fire resistant etc economically without required any skilled worker. Ferro concrete is relatively a new material and has good strength and resistance to impact. It provided better resistance to fire, earthquake, and corrosion than traditional materials such as wood, adobe and stone masonry. It is used in construction as well as repair material. The main purpose of the paper is a try to introduce new technology like ferrocement and its applications by literature study using various references.
