Abstract : India's National Highway network has witnessed significant expansion over the past few decades. With the increase in road length, there is a growing need to extend the lifespan of highway pavements to maximize their benefits. Various techniques are employed to achieve this goal, and one such emerging technique is microsurfacing. Microsurfacing acts as a protective layer, enhancing skid resistance, surface durability, and sealing fine cracks. Implementing a preventive maintenance program enables cost-effective pavement maintenance, resulting in better pavement quality and reduced overall costs. Microsurfacing is extensively utilized for both pavement preservation and preventive maintenance, offering environmental benefits. This study focuses on designing microsurfacingand its applications for concrete roads, with thorough analysis of various mixing and laying techniques. The research outcomes will contribute to the development of microsurfacing solutions for concrete roads in India, ultimately enhancing their lifespan and quality. Keywords - Micro Surfacing, Highway Pavement, Maintenance, Concrete Roads.
