Paper Title :
Novel Element Host11 for The Analysis of Stiffened Composite Shells

Author :Karan Sheth, Rajendra Joshi

Article Citation :Karan Sheth ,Rajendra Joshi , (2024 ) " Novel Element Host11 for The Analysis of Stiffened Composite Shells " , International Journal of Advances in Mechanical and Civil Engineering (IJAMCE) , pp. 1-3, Volume-11,Issue-2

Abstract : A new flat facet element of langrangian type has been developed for the analysis of stiffened composite plates and shells. The element has 11 Degrees of Freedom per node and is attached with a beam type stiffener element having 3 DOF per node. The resulting element is such that the stiffener can be placed anywhere in the shell element. Various laminated stiffened plates and shells are analysed for static loads using the newly developed element. It is seen that due to the higher order theory, HOST11 behaves as expected and better as compared to the elements available in literature. Keywords - Stiffened Shell element, Laminated Plates, Static Analysis, Cylindrical Shells.
