Abstract : Abstract - With the technological advancement in construction practices, now-a-days multistory buildings have become very common. Recently high-rise buildings are being constructed in most of the cities to accommodate large numbers of human beings. Due to scarcity of land near public facilities, sky-scraping buildings are only the solution to provide a house to each one. These kinds of buildings have to be designed for all the possible load combinations which includes dead, imposed, wind and earthquake loads. Imposed loads depend on the use or occupancy and wind loads depend on several factors like geographical location, geometry of the building and hence cannot be changed much. Majorly dead and earthquake loads based on the self-weight of the building which includes weight of foundation, column, beam, slabs as structural members and walls as non-structural members. Structural members are being used to cater all the loads while other options can be opted for walls as these are not participating to resist any external loads. Under sustainable development hollow concrete blocks shall be used in such a type of building resulting in saving in construction material by reducing dead loads and earthquake loads. This development will be more sustainable if hollow concrete blocks are made of stone waste instead of natural resources. The basic ingredients of hollow concrete blocks are cement, fine aggregate and coarse aggregate. This paper represents the possible use of Kota stone waste in the form of fine aggregate and coarse aggregate. There were two series prepared to conclude partial and full replacement of conventional fine and coarse aggregate with Kota stone waste. Conventional fine aggregate was replaced with manufactured fine aggregate in the first series while conventional coarse aggregate was replaced by the crushed stone waste in form of 6mm and 10mm in other one.
